Meet our ami

Trésor Vets

“I have never believed that a price tag tells the whole story. Some bottles carry a big name yet offer very little once they are poured. Others sit quietly in the corner, unknown to most people, and end up showing depth, character and something you did not expect. Those are the wines I care about, and those are the bottles I bring to Club d’Amis.”

Sommelier at Bar Misera

Bar Misera is a must-visit Parisian bistro like wine bar in Antwerp’s Zuid. Think tasty bites and a laid back atmosphere paired with the best wine.

Co-founder Club D’Amis

You're looking at it. Club d'Amis embodies smooth better than your favourite chambreer-flask. Where curated wine and storytelling come together.

When he's not sniffing a glass of wine

You'll either find him at a Royal Antwerp FC match, listening to Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly or spending the few hours he's not working with family & friends.

Best bottle you ever tasted?

This changes for me all the time. The best bottle is often the one that strikes me in the right moment and moves me when I least expect it. If I have to choose one, it would be Marqués de Murrieta, Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 1925

Guilty pleasure pairing go to?

Popcorn with Champagne. The salt and the crunch match perfectly with the precision and energy of good bubbles.

Region/winemaker on your radar?

I recently tasted the full range and new vintage from Ahrens Family Wines, a South-African winemaker. What stood out were the small nuances in each wine, showing clear differences in location, soil and origin, yet always with the same quiet finesse in the hand of the winemaker.

Albert Ahrens has more than twenty years of experience and works with a minimal intervention mindset, but what stayed with me was the precision and calm behind every bottle.
