Why we love this bottle

The vines for this wine stand in one of the most remote corners of Bolivia, in the Cinti Valley, where Negra Criolla has been grown for centuries. Many of the plants are more than 150 years old and trained high in the trees, so the fruit hangs two to three metres above the ground. Everything is harvested by hand from ladders, and nothing about the process is modern or polished.

The result is a light, savoury red that carries the character of this landscape without interference. It’s honest, lifted and subtly salty, with a style that exists almost nowhere else in the world. We love it because it brings history, purity and identity into one glass, without pretending to be anything other than what it is.
