Why we love this bottle
Tissot is the family that defined what Jura wine could be. Stéphane took over from his parents in 1990, converted everything to biodynamics by 2004, and spent three decades learning to get out of the wine’s way. Fifty hectares across some of the finest terroirs in Arbois, farmed with the kind of patience and precision that shows in every bottle. What makes the estate remarkable is not one great wine but the entire range: a consistent, honest expression of what this strange, beautiful region can do. We love it because there is nothing performative about it. Every bottle is just Tissot being Tissot.
Poulsard is the most delicate red grape in the Jura: thin skins, almost no colour, and aromatics that sit somewhere between a red and a rosé. Stéphane calls this Confidentiel — a name that fits. No added sulphur, biodynamic fruit from old vines, a Poulsard made the old way. Pale garnet, almost translucent. Wild strawberry, sour cherry, dried rose petal and a touch of spice. Light, fresh and silky with very fine tannins and a long, pure finish.
