Why we love this bottle

Newton Johnson is a family estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley near Hermanus, one of the coolest and most maritime wine regions in South Africa. Founded in 1996 by Gordon and Nicky Newton Johnson; today sons Dave and Bevan run the winemaking. Best known for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay among the finest in the southern hemisphere, but a growing range of cool-climate varieties is being added as the estate explores the full potential of its terroir.

We love it because the Hemel-en-Aarde is one of the great undiscovered cool-climate addresses in the wine world, and this Albaríño shows exactly why.
