Why we love this bottle

Il Mortellito is a small organic estate in Val di Noto in southeastern Sicily, run by Dario Serrentino. He spent years selling grapes to Frank Cornelissen before making wine under his own label from 2014. His territory: a few kilometres from the coast, at the same latitude as North Africa. Dario calls it ‘a desert next to the beach’. No chemical pesticides or fertilizers; minimal intervention in the cellar.

We love it because Cala Niuru is a clear expression of where it comes from. Coastal, dry and shaped by quiet, steady work!
