Why we love this bottle

Il Mortellito is a small family estate in the Val di Noto, farming close to the sea where constant winds keep the vineyards healthy and the fruit naturally tight. The family works simply and consistently: clean farming, early picking and no added weight in the cellar. Calaiancu comes from Grillo and a touch of Catarratto grown on these coastal slopes, and the wine keeps that same straight, savoury character you get from the landscape.

We love it because it’s a clear expression of where it comes from — coastal, dry and shaped by quiet, steady work.
