Why we love this bottle

Dominio do Bibei was founded in the early 2000s to revive the extraordinary but nearly forgotten vineyards of Ribeira Sacra, a UNESCO-protected river gorge in Galicia where vines are planted on vertiginous slate terraces above the Sil and Miño rivers. The project’s philosophy is archaeological: understanding what grew here before phylloxera and the 20th-century rural exodus, and replanting with original native varieties. The estate has recovered dozens of ancient varieties on the verge of extinction.

Intensely fresh and mineral. White peach, lime zest, white blossom and a pronounced saline quality that reflects the Atlantic climate and the slate soils. Full and textured with remarkable length.
