Why we love this bottle

Château Béla is an ancient estate on the banks of the Danube in southern Slovakia where the Romans first planted vines.

In 2001, Countess Ilona von Krockow joined forces with Egon Müller — one of the world’s great Riesling producers based at Scharzhofberg on the Mosel — and winemaker Miroslav Petrech, with a shared ambition: to prove this corner of Slovakia could produce Riesling rivalling the finest dry examples from Austria and Alsace.

We love it because this is serious Riesling from an address almost nobody knows.
