Why we love this bottle

A white Rioja Reserva from old vine Viura — one of the rarest styles in Spanish wine. Extended oak ageing in French and American barrels, then years in bottle before release. This 2014 has had a decade of slow development. Deep golden yellow. White flowers, butterscotch, dried mango, apricot and vanilla on the nose. The palate is generous and full-bodied with weighted tropical fruit, honey notes and a refreshing citrus acidity that balances all the richness.
