Why we love this bottle

Tissot is the family that defined what Jura wine could be. Stéphane took over from his parents in 1990, converted everything to biodynamics by 2004, and spent three decades learning to get out of the wine’s way. Fifty hectares across some of the finest terroirs in Arbois, farmed with the kind of patience and precision that shows in every bottle. What makes the estate remarkable is not one great wine but the entire range: a consistent, honest expression of what this strange, beautiful region can do.  We love it because there is nothing performative about it. Every bottle is just Tissot being Tissot.

Les Graviers is one of Tissot’s parcel-specific Chardonnays from Arbois. The name refers to the gravel-rich soils of this particular site, which give the wine a textural richness and mineral complexity. Fermented and aged in a combination of barrique and larger vessels; the oak is never new and never dominant. Released only in vintages where the site performs well.

We love it because no cuvee at Tissot is an afterthought, and this is the proof.
